Our Bio's

A common first question as we tell friends about our pending marraige is "who is this person?" so what better way to let everyone know. . . .

Martin grew up in northern Mn in a town called Park Rapids.  After a year+ at NDSU-Fargo I joined the Navy as a Machinist Mate, first in the nuclear power field, and later served on a supply ship out of Bremerton Wa for over 5 years ending 8+ years of service in 1993. I completed my Bachelors degree out of Bemidji State Univ in Industrial Technology with my empasis in Manufacturing Technology.

Having moved to Hutchinson I met and married Denise Casey and after a five years in computer part manufacturing at HTI in Hutchinson, I started my own business in computer and network consulting.  Eventually switching the business to wireless internet sales before I sold everything and have been serving Form-A-Feed, Inc as Sr network administrator and eventually IT Director for the last 6 years.

I gave my life my Lord and Savior in 2002 and have served in practically every manor possible at Word of Life also in Hutchinson.  Denise and I completed 3 years of bible school in 2005 before traveling to Israel that same year.  In 2008 Denise was diagnosed with breast cancer and fought for 5 years before loosing her battle earlier this year.

As for Jenny. . .

I grew up in Spooner WI on a dairy farm.  After graduating high school I went to college in Arkansas for a couple years.  At the end of 1991 I moved to Rice Lake, WI. Tevin was born the spring of 1992 and my focus was on raising my son.  I met my first husband in 1993 and we married in 1994.  We had two children together. Scotty and Kaitlyn. In 2012 we divorced.  I have had several jobs over the years.  I was an Executive Director of a crisis pregnancy center for several years.  I have also been a restaurant manager and also owned a cafe for several years.  Most recently, I have worked at the Association Retreat Center in Osceola as their Events Coordinator and Catering Manager.

I have been a Christian most of my life.  There have been a few periods of time that I have let my relationship with God slip a little, but in all His grace and mercy He always draws me back into His loving arms.

One final tidbit I would like to share with those that don't know me very well...

Most of my relatives are Amish.  My parents were both raised in Amish homes but decided to not join the Amish church when they were of age.  I am first generation non-Amish. With that being said... Martin and I are considering moving to Indiana and joining the Amish church and having lots of Amish children.
